I originally thought it was a bit too quiet, but after an unusually long break in time, it got louder...to about the correct pitch. Db is actually legal so no cop harassment, and I felt gains with it over my custom made cat back.

yeah.. when i first put mine on, i had the stock header with test pipe, and it was really quiet.. but not toooo queit.. it had a good soft deep sound... then later i installed the RRM header (no cats at all) and it got much louder, its perfect for me.. not too loud, not too quiet.. i love it! I would definitly recomend it. good buy.. and get it from RoadRace, cheapest place around!

I think he is looking to hear from Evo owners. Since the Evo has a turbo, the exhaust note will sound nothing like it does on the non turboed Lancers.

Any alignment issues, where the muffler is rubbing on the bumper or the pipe hitting the sway bar?

If thats the case, this thread should be in the Lancer General forum...not the Evo one.

I'll move it over so you get a better response.

I got greedy exahust on my EVO 7, and I think it will fit the EVO 8 .. (maybe I am wrong).... Any way to me the sound was Ok but now after 1 year I think it got louder or maybe my hearing ability got stronger.... 1 problem with the exahust is that tip of the exahust is rubbing against my rear bumper and I have few melted area's..The exahust is mounted a bit to high I tryed to lower it and even took it to few shop but could not do it .... I hope that greedy fixed this problem by now..... will post pix as soon as I get my car from the garage..
