if ur doing so much work and so much money put into it, why dont u get a real evo instead. Turning ur lancer into an EVO will be hectic and time and also money consuming. I have thought of buying a 4-door mirage and convert the whole thing into an EVO including body panels, engine, tranny, etc but after figuring out the cost and time to be put into the car, you might rather just get a junked mirage and register ur EVO with it.

I don't think many body parts will fit. You'd spent MORE trying to put Evo 8 parts on it than you would buying a body kit, so I don't really see the point. Nor do I really see the point of dressing up as an Evo. But hey, that's just me.

im not trying to be an evo. i just was wondering about the hood becasue i like some of hte aftermarket hoods for that more than the lancer. i know that the fenders are different on the two cars but i dont really see much difference in the mounting area, the evo is just wider. maybe im wrong about that i dont know. if that is the case though the hood will fit with minor modifications. obviously there will be no grille on the evo hood and the area where the lights are would be a little different. but those are very easily fixed problems. so unless someone can tell me that the major dimensions of the two hoods are really far off i think im gonna try it.

basicaly i need to know if the hood will fit inside the hole that my stock would leave if it were not there. i know the front of the hood that meets up to headlight and bumper will not fit but i will modifying that area of my car anyway. so if the mounts are the same and the basic dimensions are the same i can deal with that.

The headlights are totally different. I can't see any reason why it would fit. Not to mention the huge gap between the grill and bumper because of where the hood latches are. Unless you care to prove otherwise I stand by my "no".

i know the headlights and the grille are different but that is it correct. as far as the hood goes i mean. i know that the evo has a lot of differences. im just saying that the evo hood will fill in the hole on the lancer with minor mods to the headlight area. i already have the grille problem solved so thats not a factor. i am planning to have to mod the hood a little bit around the lights anyway.
