What a loaded question. What other chassis, but a N/A version would someone use to attempt an Evo conversion? Its not like this country got turbo FWD CT9A chassis.

Methinks you should do a search and unsubscribe from this thread.

there was a guy in new zealand who used the evo wheels and the evo rear end, but it was still a mirage that was slightly converted interior and exteriorally to resemble and perform like an evo.

by the way...that mirage was shown in super street. either that or import tuner.

I would like to see an all wheel drive lancer. You would have to re run the exhaust because on our cars it runs right down the middle where the driveshaft should go, also you would have to replace the entire rear end - the entire suspension. Its not as simple as a swap, Evos are wider than lancers, you cant just swap out rear ends. They are two completely different cars. Also what about the transfer carse and all that? .There is no point. Just sell the engine and buy another evo.

Oh wait, I'm the mod.

This will stay open IF it stays civil and on-topic.

I'm considering purchasing a used Astrovan and swapping my FWD 4G94 in there...is that an option?

well, exhaust isnt a issue. ive built many cars, the evo that i wrecked was pretty built, exhaust wouldnt be a issue, i was looking at the technical issues like for instance, evos are wider then regular lancers, thats not a issue tho, function b4 fashion. im trying to figure out if itwould be worth all the work invested? i can do it, its just a meer matter of it being worth building it from a FWD model or buying something else to drop it all in?

Dude, you have got to realize you can not come into a thread like this, drop a nugget like that without any pics or links to back it up.
