Blacksheepdj, that would be pretty nice but I don't think I know as much as Boe, Hobie, Alchemist, Rhyzin, etc.
Crypto, just use the first link I gave you and read.

yeh ive read over it, i cant read anything really bad about the ecu flash. other than problems shifting in manuals. i should be ok in my auto.

when the light comes on again i will take it down to the dealership, get it sorted, and report back with any gains and or set backs from it.

Thanks for the help

It's the first cat I think, you can just buy a header to replace the exhaust manifold.

i dont have enough money for a new header. i will just go down to the mitsu dealership and have them flash it and put in a new cat.

Personally I hate the flash, I'm actually buying a new ECU just to get rid of it.

Have you tried the CEL eliminator from RRM? install that where your 2nd o2sensor is.

And reseting your ECU might not fix the problem because I did that myself when I had a CEL problem. The CEL light itself went away for a few days but came back on.

Check for exhaust leaks, Your o2 sensor might be bad, or like someone stated earlier check your cat.

I'm having trouble with the search results links, too, but here you go: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ighlight=P0421

Since there's a recall on an item it is illegal for the dealership to deny you service for that item. They can however void parts of your warranty for mods. I'd try the aforementioned 2nd cat O2 sensor spacer to see if that doesn't give you the temp difference your ECU is looking for and letting the car warm up fully before driving is a good idea in all cases.

the only mod i have is an intake, so its not like my car is under alot of strain. I will take my car to the dealership tomorrow and have them look at the cat and get a reflash.
