Mitsu Mechanic says 'Lancer is a peice of sh*t'!!!
Ok.. i just got back from the mitsu dealer and i spoke with the Head Mechanic. I had to ask him a few questions about somehting in the service manual. We talked for a bit and i told him everything im doing to my car (removal of cat's and new exhaust, possibly turbo, etc...) He then proceeded to tell me that I have wasted all my money and should have got an evo because the Lancer is just a smaller Gallant, its a peice of ****. I was like.. 'WOW'
Then he continued to tell me that there is no way i could turbo a Lancer, the compression ratio is way to high for a turbo, the piston rings would melt, blah blah blah.. so then i just thanked him for his time and left. It was very interesting to hear this from the head mitsu mechanic. Well.. just thought i'd share that with ya'll

What a ***.... my master tech told me he could do all sorts of crazy **** to mine, like upgrading the master cylinder and shortening the brake lines to improve braking. He just started bombarding me with ideas...I was impressed. Although sales is a different story at my dealership EVO markup......$9,995..
maybe if the lancer is such a (to quote) "piece of ****" the head mechanic can exlpain why of all the cars in the mitsu lineup the lancer has the least percentage of returns for service (info from a post that Mark the mitsu guy made a while ago if I remember right)
exactly.. he was like .. 'why dont you just get the evo instead of wasting all your time and money into a crappy Lancer? everything you need to 'modify' is already done on the evo' and i said.. 'but that takes the fun out of it'..

Bitnode man you got it all wrong he wasn't the head Mechanic he was the Mechanic that give head duh your fault. man they don't know **** themselfs. yeah the lancer is no evo but then again the it's what you pay for. every one tries to compare car's together that aren't even in the same class. "Hey you should of got and evo for 32,000 + so who care you only have 17,000 to spend on a car..
