do some homework and come back when you have narrowed down your choices
I've been x for a while, and seen many a**holes around. I just asked for sugestions and tips. That should tell you I know **** about cars. Thats probably why I might want to just do bolt ons and live my live.

Coilovers are good, but if you buy the right ones. I've heard so many bad stories, and experienced until I had to buy the full suspension. Pricey but does the job, WOu;dn't reccommend it for the money thou. But I can be wrong. Some searching can help out.

Actually not true. I wasn't into autocross then. But I had a fully modded suspension that I "road tested" to the fullest extent.

Now I enjoy my action legally and with the power of AWD.

I appreciate the kind words, though.

^^

haha. same difference.... road test to fullest extent = autox... lol

As was said. Unless you go FI there isnt really much you will get outa the 4g94 without a lotta cash. With $700 just get a good radar detector and mabey some new cd's to help you enjoy your ride if you dont plan to go all out. imo

If you do id start with suspension.

Not to be rude, but I was only asking on help for my engine. Not on how to handle my car better.

I did start off the wrong foot, but if you hate these questions, then keep walking. Other people might have helpful tips about this.

Maybe someone with RRM, RPW, OBX, etc headers and they want to tell me what the responce is. Same about intake, injectors, and so on. I want to hear what people say that have experience the product. Not their compnay saying how good it is.

Put it away for your childs college fund. $700 will do nothing to a Lancer, in the end, it will still be a *cough, cough* Lancer. You have a child coming what the F**K is your problem. Let me blow $700 before my kid gets here. You are truly truly stupid. You ask for advice, Blacksheep says coilovers, then you **** on his advice. You need to get off the internet and go somewhere with your Lancer.

I stand by my original comment. If you want engine power, RPW headers are the only choice.

I am sorry if I didn't answer you correctly at first.

MANY guys here have bought full coilovers from TEIN and NEX. i haven't heard one bad thing about either, and have ridden in several lancers with the TEIN basics and it is an excellent ride.

as blacksheepdj said, you're not gonna gain a whole lot of horsepower with $700. most bolt ons for the lancer dont do much other than lighten your wallet and lenghten your mod list. forced induction is the way to go for power.

i would suggest coilovers and other suspension items as the lancers are MUCH more fun to drive when they handle good.

I have RRM SRI and maganflow cat-back 2.25". I dont feel any gain whatsoever. The car makes a lot more noise and mabey a lil more pull in the top end and a incy wincy but more throttle response with the SRI but all in all they werent worth the whole $700 or so I paid for the two. Now once I go FI (which I plan in the future) I can use the exhaust better. I also have a damper kit... worthless. imo

Let me get this straight... "I am expecting a baby and need to save.." Yet you are trying to blow $700.00. This still blows my mind. I will go away now before I flame you to death. Bye, good luck with the kid.

Well that is done. Rides good if I get the rest back lol.

As for saving, this is $700 that I got from doing nothing. little side tips, side jobs, etc. We have saved up plenty so far, but nothing is enought for a kid. Thats why I'm only taking out $700. I want to just do headers $200, Intake $70, and thats about it. I already bought the pulley. Thats all I wanted, but wanted to hear what other guys have spent their money on.

$200 headers? What, the RRM shorties? That's the worst option.

$70 intake? The whole CAI/SRI thing is kind of a waste in my experience.

Intake is an used AEM. Thinking of just changing the filter in the future. The headers are OBX. Also seen RRM for about $200 used. For some reason I want to go new on the headers.

Heard so many thing about intakes. I could sit here all day just saying all the stories. But mainly Ive heard that it gives u better responce n gas milage.
