$700 to spend. But on what??

Lets start off that my Lancer is completely stock except for the RRM Underdrive pulley I just ordered. I have about $700 or a little more to spend on my Lancer for the Last time. I am expecting a baby, and need to save. But this is my last chance to get her off the line a lil faster.

Can you guys give me any tips. Headers, intake, etc. ANYTHING!

Also, what kind headers, intake, exhaust, etc.
Pricing, and where I can get them. I am ready to buy, but could use some help from you guys.

Since your going for speed. Get a piggyback ecu first off. Rest of cash get sway bar with perches. and if you can fit it......axis ultimate brake pads or intake.

Piggy V1. and V.2 = www.roadracemotorsports.com $400.00?!?

brake pads = also road race $80.00?!?

sway/perches = also road race. $250

Intake = get w/e you like. doesnt matter. cheaper the better. (As long as you have a K&N filter, or equivilent)

Forgot to say, I have no worries. I drive like the worl is about to end. I just want something to start me off good off the line mainly. And maybe something to help me on the highway. I need to make this Lancer a lil fast for my girl on the way to the hospital

As for the Intake. Is it true that the Ebay intakes are as good as the $300 AEM?

Coilovers. Best change you can make.

Header/intake/exhaust are just not worth the money. But if you want to make 5 more HP, then the best option is the RPW header. You'll make the most HP. Try a custom exhaust with the money you have left. Intake is really not worth it, as you'll just have a noise-maker.
If you want the header, contact Accolade.

PS - I just have to say how much I hate these threads. You're asking 30 thousand people to guess what's best for you and then tell you what to get, how much it is, and where to get it.
All it shows me is that you're too lazy to search and find what YOU would want and where's the best place to get it.
Not trying to be a dick, but it really bothers me. I help people for a living, but I still appreciate the ones that actually try to help themselves.

Then what do you want? This is why these types of threads are such bull****.

If you want a car that rides like stock, put the $700 in a retirement account.

One thread was enough. Moving the other one to trash.

i would be willing to bet your $700 that you had coilover SLEEVES on stock shocks.

full coilovers feel nothing like a rollercoaster. the car drives SO much better with them on.

They were the full suspension. anyways, I still have them in the back while the front is back to stock for now. Something happened to them and I had to send them to repair. Still under warranty

off to a great start with that attitude. i'm sure you'll get a warm welcome here.

don't ask an open ended question and then get mad at the answers. here's an idea though....search around instead of asking total strangers what to do to your car.

do some homework and come back when you have narrowed down your choices

not as good. You only gain like 1-2 whp on the Lan so its not worth it really. Mabey a lil throttle response and engine noise. Buy the ebay intake just for the air flow sensor adaptor and then buy a K&N intake and your set.

As for your other thread. Coilovers own all suspension. You must like a plush ride if you thought coilovers sucked......... Coilovers are one of the best things to do to the lancer other then FI. imo

OK. That just showed me exactly what kind of person you are. I'm done.

Enjoy your "engine performance" mods. Enjoy the 5 whp you'll gain from your $700.

I'm too busy closing threads made by folks like you (people who can't follow the rules). You know, the job I'm supposed to do. Which I volunteer to do for no pay whatsoever.

Have a nice night. Good luck raising that kid. I hope fatherhood makes you a nicer person.
