Only if your 17's are heavy.

It has to do with rotational mass, not the size of the wheel. Your outside tire diameter wheel/tire on 195/55/15's (stock OZ wheels) are almost identical in size to 205/45/17's. Adjust ever so slightly for different tire sizes. Unsprung weight kills braking and acceleration.

That entire argument was bull****. SAE ratings are SAE ratings.

My car will be happy when i clean the 3 foot pool of garbage out of the back seat, and fix the 100s of scratches and dings in it.

Driving the last few days has been really nice. Car is smooth and comfortable and the ride is really firm now.

I've had this car since August '02. Bought it right off the lot and it's been with me ever since so maybe the car is connected to me in a way. I just feel like the car is happier now that i got everything done to it.

Anyone else experience this after really cleaning their car and getting serviced

Just curious.
Seriously? Nitrogen, let me guess they charged you $5 bucks a tire too right?

Remember Chemistry class kids? Earth's Atmosphere (ie REGULAR F%&$*# AIR) is close to %60 Nitrrogen for FREE its dumb and serves absolutely no purpose.

Rant_end...

PS- Yes I know what you mean, spend 5 hours cleaning and installing and the car feels awesome

Nitrogen does make up over 70% of regular air, but there is still 20% oxygen there. The advantage of nitrogen fills (i mean REAL 100% nitrogen) is that nitrogen does not expand or contract as much as regular air under temperature changes. this allows you to use the same tire pressure for winter as summer and reduces the need for tire warm up before setting a pressure because it is not going to change that much. this is the precise reason that airplane tires are filled with 100% nitrogen. otherwise when the air at 30,000 feet is 20 below, the tires would shrivel up from gas contraction and compromise the safety of the tire.
