I just ordered a pair of the 9007 HID's for my 2003 lancer, heres a link. Great price $150 shipped, and a 1 year warranty on Ballasts AND bulbs. Plus you get to choose your color temp from 4300K to 12000K. When I contacted the seller before buying, I was told they are a no cutting kit. They get their power from your existing stock bulb sockets, and fit directly in. Just specify the headlight bulb type, and your color. Pretty cool. Ill give a complete review when I recieve them this week.

Oh, and by the way, there are several different sellers with these kits on EBAY, but I finally decided on this seller because I sent an email question to him, and recieved a response LITERALLY within 60 seconds. Impressive.

That, i honestly dont know until I recieve them. But my Low beams are so efficent stock, that I dont really use my high beams unless im flashing someone. So brighter HID's should be MORE than effective =D
Oh, and back to the original post, yes sylvania's suck. Ive installed them on more than one occasion. When you pay $50 + for bulbs twice a year, you might as well just get the HIDs since they last about 5 times longer, and are more efficient

I figured since I was getting a 1 year warranty on the ballasts AND the bulbs, it was worth the $150 "plunge" . If they last more than 2 years, ive already made my money back over sylvania bulbs

I don't about other people, I'm a little hesistant to get rid of my high beams. I live in a region where we have deer, moose, elk, coyotes, mountain sheep and bears crossing the road so I need the ability to see a fair distance ahead of me. HIDs that would be bright enough for that would blind oncoming traffic and that's just as dangerous.

Good old Canada, live 15 min outside of a major city and you have cougars attacking your bird feeders.

i've got silverstars and i'm thoroughly satisified with them... very bright, light bluish tint - 4 months constant use in my fogs and reg. headlights, no problems.

if you don't go the HID route go with catz galaxy white blubs. hands down the best bulbs i had in my lancer, and i tried plenty. silverstars were better than stock, but they were still a joke. check out this old thread i made (pics on page two).

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...t=galaxy+white

and if you're interested i think i might have an extra pair of these laying around that i never used. i'll have to dig through some things i packed up from when i moved though.
