Mods for NA (my experiance)
Every Lancer I see at an autocross, except for some Evos lifts the inside rear corner on a turn. So yes, it will have better traction in the rear on cornering and that will lead to less oversteer with a stronger front bar, but it will keep the car better planted on the ground and able to corner harder too.
In FWD, you're far better off using your left foot to brake while cornering to get the oversteer you're looking for. Don't snub your nose at a front bar just because it'll counteract that oversteer a little. It will keep the dynamic suspension alignment all around the car more controllable, limit the lean of the car, etc.
Every top autocrosser I've ever asked, especially in FWD cars, says it's one of the most important mods you can get.

You sound all set for turbo. I think the one from the RRM kit spools quick enough. And their kit looks damn good. And when you get the pistons and rods you will be able to turn the boost up. And The camshaft sounds good too. Are you going with RRMs or RPWs?
So I ended up getting a really good deal on the upgraded front sway bar. Less than $100. I tell you it was a PIA to install the cross member almost has to come out! I can feel the difference in driving n off ramps the car is a bit more predictable.
If you don't care about top end maybe you should go with a t-25 turbo. RRM does them in the stage 0 and non-intercooled kits i believe. that should hit full boost sooner than the 16g. i would ask Rob about it, maybe save some $ too
First autocross went well. I have the new front sway bar in there and I can say I did feel a difference. the Car felt a bit more balanced. I did still lift the inside rear tire. Some have said it may even need to be bigger. I tell you I am never doing that job again.
still planning on switching to the megan coilovers?
i don't know if i will be able to make it to the second event at loudon, but i will definitely get to the events on devens. hopefully by then i can get my own helmet, i can't wait to race again.
