When I say I built for FSP that is because I know I did not want a turbo (Placing me in SM) it was the only class that I may stand a chance in. It was the only car I had. (and still my only car and daily driver) I spend money on my car because its my hobby there are many other drivers out there doing the same thing I am to a variety of different cars. They tend to spend what I spent over 4 years in one year. Ya I could have spent the money one driving schools, but I knew the short comings of my car and went after fixing them first. Now I know it is as far as I can take it and now the car will spend time in the state its in so I will learn to drive it as it is. During Ral weekend I let some folks drive my car. We all ended up within .25 of a second of each other. So I changed some things in the car to help set it up better and now will learn to drive it the way it is.
Its easy to buy a car that is already fast! I'm not saying my car is the fastest but I am saying I like the way it is now. Heck I know my car is slow.
Lets get this straight, this post was created to show people what you could do with a lancer staying NA. I don't see any constructive criticism in your post. I never said I was the best out there.

Comfortable yes, but unless you have a date, I don't see why they're of any use to you :P

I've heard you have to modify the brackets.

Found a thread about just changing the clips so I guess I will order that from the dealer when they come in!

Lancer Adam - What do you think of the Royal Purple? Did you notice any gains like they claim?

Not much... I'm not sure it was worth the money. I actually went back to Mobile One 10-30. I guess I could not say it was bad for the engine but I'm not sure it was all it claimed to be.
There is a new Mobile Oil out now the race stuff not sure about that. It looks like there answer to Royal Purple.

Oil is oil (for the most part), if you're trying to gain power by using a different brand, you're clutching at straws.

Some people claim better gas mileage. Dunno. Was wondering if it was worth the $$.

it's cool because it IS actually purple. it doesn't stay purple for long in the engine though.

personally, i use mobil 1 because i get it free at work. not sure how long i will be staying at that job now though so i may have to start shelling out the cash every 3k miles.
