Her's or mine? haha! They are both really clean, actually her's is a bit cleaner than mine, makes me a little jealous. Those hub caps are staying if I can help it until those tires are ready to go... brand new rubber. Unless you mean go to the black stealy look...

Got my 03 OZ for $12,000 with trading in my recently rear-ended Jeep Cherokee. It was at the end of production too which helped. Great deal on a brand new car though

I actually lived in Woodbridge during my high school days, so I went to Hylton High. Graduated in 2000, I know... I should be done with college, but its just so damn fun. Actually I've held several full time jobs while going to school.

Anyway, more on topic, thanks. I'm trying to keep my car look as clean as I can. I despise the majority of the import cars that get butchered by those living in Woodbridge and Fairfax... I just saw a vomit inducing prelude on my way home tonight, but that's this area for you. Then again there are some really nice rides in this area. You a member of DCevoclub? There's a few of us Lancers in there, I was the fifth member, and we are always looking for more Lancers to come out to meets.

Upgraded to the Lancer from a 100 hp 1987 Toyota Tercel (hp= hampster power) $12,000 for my 06. Had about 7,000 miles on it, but KBB price would have been closer to $14,00. SCORE! Love it to death, not trading for anything. Well... maybe the EVO (saw a 2003 for $22,000, coming up on 30k miles) or the 2008 Ralliart, but they're still in the Lancer family.

That's the way to do it right there. I was just talking about this yesterday. I'm trying to convince my roomate to do the same. Find a lancer with some front end damage, nothing too bad, and then garage it while we do some engine and body work.

How much did it cost to fix?

Drive up to VA, you can find them for around 8 grand or less. I've seen a Ralliart with 24k miles sell for around 11 grand.

i wouldnt really say that, because the tradeoff here is that insurance is twice as high as the surrounding states. plus you get double taxed on cars here. if i go to texas and buy a car they tax me right? then i move to louisiana a month later and bring my car. they tax me as if i bought it in louisiana. i mean full taxes. then you get to talk to mr geico. . .

its because everyone here is more than happy to sue you for anything and they usually win because the judges are ****en crooks.

anyway

/rant

i pay 180/ mnt for my car note

i pay 275/ mnt for insurance... happy?

yeah 02-03's are holding their value pretty well out in the midwest too. I mean, it's no BMW resale value, but it's beating the other brands I've checked in the same market.... As much as some people complain about it, it is overall a pretty reliable and good car. It would have been nice to get the power that 04+ got, but that is the way things worked out. Assuming you part-out and return it to stock when you sell, the resale value won't really look at HP numbers, you know?
