Got my 03 OZ for $12,000 with trading in my recently rear-ended Jeep Cherokee. It was at the end of production too which helped. Great deal on a brand new car though

I actually lived in Woodbridge during my high school days, so I went to Hylton High. Graduated in 2000, I know... I should be done with college, but its just so damn fun. Actually I've held several full time jobs while going to school.
Anyway, more on topic, thanks. I'm trying to keep my car look as clean as I can. I despise the majority of the import cars that get butchered by those living in Woodbridge and Fairfax... I just saw a vomit inducing prelude on my way home tonight, but that's this area for you. Then again there are some really nice rides in this area. You a member of DCevoclub? There's a few of us Lancers in there, I was the fifth member, and we are always looking for more Lancers to come out to meets.

Upgraded to the Lancer from a 100 hp 1987 Toyota Tercel (hp= hampster power) $12,000 for my 06. Had about 7,000 miles on it, but KBB price would have been closer to $14,00. SCORE! Love it to death, not trading for anything. Well... maybe the EVO (saw a 2003 for $22,000, coming up on 30k miles) or the 2008 Ralliart, but they're still in the Lancer family.

yeah 02-03's are holding their value pretty well out in the midwest too. I mean, it's no BMW resale value, but it's beating the other brands I've checked in the same market.... As much as some people complain about it, it is overall a pretty reliable and good car. It would have been nice to get the power that 04+ got, but that is the way things worked out. Assuming you part-out and return it to stock when you sell, the resale value won't really look at HP numbers, you know?
