damn, different intercooler? I hope that doesn't mean we're getting some busted up GSX side mounts. Hopefully Mitsu is gonna shed some light at the New York Auto show.

Same way with BMW. My car is produced by the M division, but I bought it from BMW.

Oh yeah, and same goes for Subaru WRX STi which is produced by STi division of Subaru.

That sounds weird. I guess my Celica Turbo All Trac was built by Toyota Team Europe and sold by my local dealer. NOT!!! I'm just tired of waiting.

Is ralliart a seperate company that is commisioned to make the EVO, or is it just the name of mitsubishi's performance division. For example, the SS camaro and pontiac firehawk leave the factory as plain eight cylinder cars then they are shipped to SLP where they add all of the performance goodies. With M, AMG, SVT, TRD, and Nismo it is still the same company it's just the name of their sports division, but in the end the money all goes to the respective company which is not the case with the GM cars.

Here's an excerpt straight from RalliArt Spain in the About Us section:

In 1984 Mitsubishi Motors transformed its Motor Sports Department into an independent company within the group and named it Ralliart Inc. Using Ralliart products and services, Mitsubishi has achieved victories in a variety of categories including four World Rally Championships and several first scratch positions in the Pairs-Dakar Raid. Ralliart also produces high performance parts for most Mitsubishi standard models.

In 1986, Mitsubishi Motors entered the Spanish market in association with Mercedes Benz España. In 1992 Mitsubishi Motors took over the assets and personnel and founded MMC Automóviles España, its headquarters for Southern Europe. Ralliart Spain was established in 1999, following the same principles as the Japanese company Ralliart Inc. Today, Ralliart Spain serves several hundred clients in Europe, North and South America, Asia and Africa. The image of Mitsubishi Motors in all these geographical areas is founded upon our customers' satisfaction and triumphs in competition. As part of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Group and responsible for motor sports activities, Ralliart Spain offers the best products and services to win with Mitsubishi vehicles.

So according to the above post ralliart is just part of MMC and not a seperate company. It sounds like ralliart is the company that MMC sells the EVO through in Europe. This is not the same as say a prodrive Subaru, because prodrive is a totally independent compnay(I think) that does work on Subarus.

Correct. But STi is the same for Subaru (owned by Subaru) as RalliArt is for Mitsu.
