This is an optional accessory that is availble from the factory it cost about $219 according to 's website. Looks like a sweet deal $15.49+S&H > $219.
There are other threads talking about these wires.

Looks like the kit doesn't have one that reaches the altenator; but, you could always make your own.

i was just at the mitsu. dealer last week and i saw this exact kit in the showroom display. It was like a 140$ or something CAD.

I would have picked it up too for the price you paid!

The OEM hyperground kit is a waste of money (I have it, but dealer gave it to me for free as incentive). You could make a DIY one, of the same quality, for under $20.

No. "Piggybacks" are small boxes that usaully connect between the main wire harness and the ECU or certain sensors and the ECU. They trick the ECU, with certain sensor input signals, into providing the proper air, fuel, and/or timing conditions needed to offset modifications. Usually intake and exhaust.

The hyper-ground kits are just large gauge wires, connecting various grounding points in the engine bay, to stabilize the electrical paths used by electrical components.

Mitsu actually does not make the Hyper-ground kit. Sun Automobile Japan makes the kits and Mitsu uses them.

I really hope you're joking. This is just a bunch of wires designed to ground the car (hence the name hyperground system), the piggyback is an actual ECU designed to optimize A/F ratios to make power.
