Tighten up the bolt a little but not too much. The squeking will probably get worser as it gets colder. If i was you i would just change the belt.

According to another thread of your's, you're kinda strapped for cash. So save your-self a few hundred bucks and just buy a steel bar at your local hardware store and shape it with plyers and a blow torch to turn it into a nice braket.

If you do it with duct tape... DON'T TELL ANYONE. Seriously... just your own protection... do NOT tell anyone, and do NOT post about it on here If you do, every single online car club will log in here and bash you within not even 48hours.

Oh. My. God.

Regarding your bolded reponse: if you tightened the bolts but it's still loose, maybe you should find out what's wrong instead of jamming something in there.

I'm just saying that I don't think that's the best way to solve the problem. Last I checked, I am allowed to have an opinion, since this is an Internet message board.

The squealing is probably the belts. As you said, you should probably check them.

Okay, you gave your opinion of me doing the job wronge, but didn't give any advice on how to do it better...

Other than replacing the intake and tightening the bolts, I don't know what to do.

Take it to a mechanic you can trust, and have him look at it.

Pretty much, yeah.

If you can't look at it and find an obvious problem of what's not right, then you should have a professional look at it. In my opinion, wedging some crap in there to "stabalize" it is just not the best move. But do what you want. I'm really not in the mood to argue with you today.
