Is there a way to get a bigger gas tank on our cars or a secondary tank? I just wanna load up and not have to worry about gas stations

This book is for you:

Read the section about the guys who modified a van to hold extra gas tanks. It's a very entertaining book.

fill up your tank to its capacity. When your light comes on go fill it back up and than subtract that from the capacity. That is how much fuel you have left in the tank.

Than its just a matter of doing a miles per gallon calculation. Once you figure out your mpg multiply that by the the amount left in the tank.

so:

capacity - capacity filled after light= amount in tank when light comes on

(amount in tank when light comes on) x (mpg) = approximate distant you can travel after light comes on.

Use the trunk as a fuel cell? Route it into the gas tank.

It doesn't work like that. The capacity is not the total amount of gas the car can hold. There's gas in the system, fuel lines, filler neck, etc. The number in the manual is not Gospel. It's just a rough number.

Granted, I have a Ralliart, but the fuel tanks are the same size and I'm sure the fuel measuring hardware is the same. When my yellow light comes on (steady light) it means I have 2.5 gallons left in the tank. I've heard on these boards, from other RA owners, that there's a second RED gas warning light that comes on when you're about 3-5 minutes away from being completely out. I haven't tested this for myself yet, and don't really want to. Perhaps one of you who've taken your cluster apart (Zack?) could verify if there's two LEDs there or not.
