Here's some Evo on Evo hate for ya; i think MR owners are a bunch of poseurs because every kid that sees an Evo "wants an MR." HA, take that!

That being said, only RS owners are real, smart, logical people. The rest of the Evo community has their heads up their asses, including me. I could never drive an RS as a DD... and that's just sad.

 

If someone said that MR crap to my face I'd lose it!! That's when "the finger" comes in real handy, no pun intended

 

Hey, bro I feel your pain. I went to a Carolina Lancer Club meet a few years back just to meet some fellow enthusiast's. I was the only Evo there. Much to my surprise I got snubbed because of it. I was making conversation being nice asking about other people's cars and what they had done to them. Then the "leader" guy/tool pulls in in his Evo7 look a like lancer. The conversation went like this:

He asks "Who's Evo?"

I reply "Mine." (extends hand to shake)

He says and I'm not making this up "I've got an MR on order. It's faster than the normal Evo" and does not reciprocate the hand shake thing

I replied " Cool, I've got mine now" then I left.

After that I saw a thread on here where he tried to ban Evo's from the CLC. Some people are just A-holes.

Seriously though, I get on here to tech talk, see whats new, catch up with people ive met at local and distant shows, there is A TON of awesome people on here, Life isnt any better than sittin around with a bunch of car enthusiasts and just shooting the breeze, and thats how it should be.

 

Dont worry about those guys who say that you are a poser. You have a great looking lancer and your doing your own thing to make the car yours. Great job

That's definitely a nice car man, you're not the only one that has people talking down to you on here, don't even worry about it.

sometimes people can just be a**holes. it's a sad but unfortunate truth in life.

one of my buddies also has a lancer that he did an evo7 conversion on. personally i like it alot. i took some pictures of his car next to my evo and posted them here, and got flamed from here to sunday.

honestly i was kind of confused. i like seeing people who are into their cars period. doesn't matter what kind of car it is, if it is done tastefully, and the owner truly loves his ride. that's why we're all here isn't it? we all love our cars.

i agree with everyone else. i think you have a very nice car. dont let anyone elses opinion get to you man.

 

My friend turbo'd his '03 OZ and beat on that for awhile then traded it in on a IX. Two weeks ago he told me he'd rather have his old turbo OZ then his IX. "The money wasnt worth it. It was more fun to drive the OZ."

I personally havent had a problem with Evo owners or Subie owners either. Just the local Honda boys.
