check to see if they have started putting rear sway bars on the ES! the lancer benefits tons from a sway bar.

 

Put it on a lift, pull the tires, and take detailed pics of the whole undercarrage as well as the suspension and brakes.

Also as was said, pull the engine plastics off and (if you can) drop the front bumper and take pics of the front bumper support and the back of the plastics.

 

how about, just take the entire car to pieces and take photos, then put it back together again

 

I would like to see you go "Doug, you should test one too, here's your rental." But that probably won't happen.

Just the basics should be nice. Especially the dyno, since it's outstanding to have a baseline to go from.

How about skidpad, braking, and slalom???

 

OK, so far here is what we will have:

Full specs as in any magazine review

• 0-60 (both dyno simulation and road testing)
• 0-100 (dyno sim)
• 1/4 mile (dyno sim)
• 60-0 distance
• MPG

Cant do slalom or lateral g's...sorry, we just are not equiped to do so. However, every major mag will have these very soon

• Driving impressions
• overall impressions
• Detailed analysis on enternal impressions of the 4b11 engine
• 50 million pictures including shots with the wheels off, underneith, detail engine shots, and every other conceiveable angle. We are shooting with a Canon 30d w/ L glass, so should come out nice.
• Video on dyno and over car

We cant really take the car apart as mitsu would probably get a little upset...and we don't have the time. May take off the top plastic engine cover if its only a few nuts holding it on.

 

In the coming weeks, we will also review the GTS model wth CVT and Oulander SUV. These new mitsus are looking very promising and we are excited to try them all out and get our members as much info as possible.

Doug...just make the trip to MD for the GTS test.....

 

Would it be possible to witness the testing and photo sessions?

 

Check for sway bars.
Check the quality of the struts/shocks.
Quality of brakes.
Quality of the sound system.

 

Will check fro everything. Keep in mind this is the ES and does not have the same brakes or suspension as the GTS. Witnessing is not possible, sorry
