New catalitic, 637 dollars!?!?
I need to get a new catalitic convertor because apparently mine isnt warming up right.... ALLDATA told me it would cost 637 dollars, is this right?!? where can i buy one anyway i looked everywhere
if you have less than 80K miles on your car take it to the dealership. They will do it all for free under warranty. All emissions stuff on your car has an 80K mile manufacturers warranty on it.
high flow cats make no difference. it adds maybe 1hp, it's not worth it.
just save some money and take it to the dealership, they will install a brand new stock cat-converter for free. Spend the money on something more worthwhile

If you have to replace it, and its not covered under warranty, there are NUMEROUS Evo Stock cats out there for cheap you can probably have a muffler shop swap in for you..
But if its still under warranty, use that sucka and get a new one from dealer.

try to get it replaced under warranty. If mitsu will not, do not buy a cat for that much.. thats crazy. buy any one of the numerous aftermarket cats for less then half that....
If it's the warm-up cat, then it's the cat inside the exhaust manifold. So that basically means you need a new exhaust manifold. In that case, I would just get a used one from a member here or from car-part.com.
Anyways, you should find out which cat it is.

If your on your stock exhaust manifold then you should replace it or get an aftermarket header.
Also a cheap fix for that is to use the Sparkplug fouler plugs. Works for me so far for 200miles
