The one sold by nissangtrpower has a resonator at the beginning of the piping.

I wish I had asked prior to buying mine. I bought it and in the picture it looks like it has a glasspack, but upon arrival it did not.

hey guys I went to this custom muffler shop and they put in a turbo exhaust. I asked them if it was a brand of exhaust and they said "no its a type of exhaust" and it quiet the sound A LOT. keep in mind that my car only has one cat converter and a small resonator, and ram air intake.

^^^uhhhhhh.......what do you mean "small" resonator and the sound is quiet? that's what the resonator does, quiets the exhaust. haha

well the resonator barely did anything to quiet the sound. it was when they put on the turbo exhaust that it made a difference. does it hurt if I have a 2.5" piping from cat to exhaust but the turbo exhaust has an opening that looks like a stock muffler?

ok im guessing you mean you got a turbo style muffler, which would effect the decible level of the exhaust. No it shouldnt restrict the flow too much but 2.5 is a bit to open for a non-turbo lancer anyway so you could use the back pressure.

Actually, a resonator is desiged to cancel out certain frequencies, not to quiet the exhaust. Different size resonators cancel different frequencies, which can cause the exhaust to be quieter. Remember that Civic that pulled up to you the other day with the ****ty sounding exhaust that was really high-pitched? He didn't have a resonator and was running huge pipe. Remember the other Civic that actually sounded decent? He had a resonator and probably didn't go bigger than 2 1/4".

Back on the topic of the eBay exhaust... they look pretty nice, don't know if the sound would be all that wonderful in my opinion. There was a company called "SpeedAndRun" that used to sell exhaust systems on ebay and on their own website that looked similar to the one in the picture a few posts up.

Got mine and installed it today, went pretty well, hangers are just a bit off but I expected that since I have an 06, none the less the hangers do grab it. All together, great sounds, looks great, came fast. Definitely recommend it.

Everything fit great but it didn't actually come with the resonator that was pictured, and because I'm running a kamikaze header and downpipe it tends to get raspy on cold starts and above 4k rpms.

For anyone that has the catback system from nissangtrpower, is the exhaust flush with the back bumper, or does it stick out. From looking at the pics, it looks like it could stick out. Just curious, any info would be great.
