ebay exhaust

I was wondering if anyone had any luck buying exhaust from ebay??? $400+ is a bit pricey for me right now, but i would like my car to sound tougher. I know you get what you pay for, but are there any quality exhausts on ebay? i found one "N1 catback exhaust" for 150 bucks, and another sr-5 cat back exhaust for 200. Just curious........

im getting that n1 catback ur talking about. i've herd from some other guys in louisville that it gives it a not so ricer sound just more like a deep rumble.....well atleast a deep rumble for a lancer anyways....its obviously not going to sound like a muscle car, but a deep rumble never the less

yeah i bought one from that guy and it is good now but let me tell you my story!!

ok i get it in the mail and then i get my friend to help me put it on. so i drove up to where he lives and we start putting it on and my cat was rusty so im probably going to have to get a new one soon!!. but the real problem was that the holes on the exhaust didnt match up with the bolts from the cat. i had to go to some machine shop to get it drilled!! cool thing though is that the ebay guy refunded me and my car sounds AWESOME!!! it really does have that deep tone to it and you can feel the differance. but i leanred my lesson.

ebay = shady

I doubt it's a real Apexi exhaust since Apexi doesn't make an exhaust for our car (at least to my knowledge). I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". A 200$ exhaust will sound and perform (reliability wise since a pipe is a pipe) like a 200$ exhaust. On an NA lancer an exhaust does little to nothing so don't get your hopes up.

yeah if i recall correctly, apexi makes an exhaust for 02-03 lancers. I have an 04. But yeah i will check out the guys mentioned, i mean i know exhaust doesn't really do much for minor mods so i'm not too worried about it. I think i'll just hold off on it a bit until my car needs the extra exhaust power. So thanks guys

I had my greddy with a custom 2.25 inch cat back done for under $220. Bought the muffler from RRM, had a shop here in town run 1 pipe fron the cat back to the muffler. Oh and a 12 inch resonator to keep it really deep. Also he made a flange so its all removable.

I just did a quick search on Apexi's site and I don't think they make anything for the lancer.

Skip the eBay exhaust.

Go to an exhaust shop, pay $200, get a nice custom exhaust that fits your car well. Done.

my friend has a ebay exhaust on his WRX, we were both surprised at how good the quality actually was.

i will probably replace my current exhaust with one of these ebay ones. i made the mistake of having a tip welded directly to my muffler, and now the tip is rusting out really bad and there's nothing i can do about it.

go with nissingpower I have the N1 on the EVO was $225.00 shipped and I love it a bit loud in comparison to a really quiet 3" but no where near as bad as others I have heard! Good deep anti rice sound too.
