Yeah there isn't a huge increase in power, but it does sound beautiful, pretty simple to install, I kinda messed up my first time around, but the second time around with Snap, it was easy.

its a sheath like thing that goes on the inside of the muffler....I bought my car used and the muffler has a little hole at the bottom of the circled tip with nothing in it so thats where the baffle would go...I guess its the same as a silencer? correct me if I"m wrong

Yeah you're right, I personally like the noise, so I never put it on, but you are correct

I'm actually having a hard time finding a silencer for my muffler. Any suggestions on where to go?

Not all mufflers can take a silencer. Best bet it to just buy a muffler that can use a silencer or get a resonator put in. You can get a resonator for like 40$.

can a resonator deaden sound as much as a silencer can? and if I get a resonator does it have to have a particular fitment or are all resonators universal?

I doubt it since all a resonator is is a pipe that allows the sound to resonate (!), but it should lower the sound (ie. make the exhaust more throaty) and it should quiet it up a bit.

usually one would opt for a resonator over a "baffle" or silencer because it deepens the tone but doesn't cause a noticeable difference in power. A silencer decreases flow more than a resonator. If you want to know more about this, search the evo forums. I'm guessing they aren't discussed here much because exhaust doesn't make much power on a lancer anyway. If you want that 2-3 hp though, get the resonator

most resonators would be universal because you have to have it welded into the pipe. ask your local muffler shop, they will have one there. i'm guessing it would probably be easiest to get a resonator that coincides with your exhaust diameter

do you guys think they will charge me to have them raise my car to check to see if I have a resonator? You think it would cost me if they raised and found out I already had a resonator?

its free to get your car raised, tell them you might want a resonator but aren't sure whether or not you already have one

Or just look yourself, it literally takes 30 seconds to figure out if you have a resonator or not. Do you have a large tube in your exhaust system that is not the cat or the muffler?
