Yeah, I know that an EVO V or VI would kill an S4 however the VII isn't quite as quick as it's predecessors. Just trying to imagine the day when I will actually be able to find out in person...day-dreaming...

true, true. but any decent race is gonna be basically, comparing lap times at the same course, that's a better question to ask, cause street racers will feed you b.s. about how they pulled in 3rd gear till they came to a light, blah blah etc....

The 2001 Audi S4 Quattro does 0-60 in 5.5 sec. and 1/4 mile in 14.2 @ 97mph. Fast but not nearly as fast as the Evo VII which does 0-60 in under 5 sec. and 1/4 somewhere in the 13's.
As for the handeling...I am sure it's the same story.

That's the thing Soleman20..all I've seen is est. times for the performance of an EVO VII...I want real-world testimony! Anybody heard or seen anything on the 2003-4 S4? I heard something about 300 horsies...

Jesus h.... relax. Who the **** cares about comparing this car to that? Even if he says Car X flat-out sucks... that's his opinion, if we can't handle that then we need to clean out our panties. I don't think we need to go crazy with the moderation here.

Autosports, german magazine, did a test on the Nurburging with an Evo6 RS-2 and the Audi S4.
The Evo6 is quicker around the 'ring but not by very much. This is because the 'ring is a pretty high speed track and doesnt seem that twisty.
The Evo7 is supposedly quicker than the Evo6 around the 'ring, so ...
The downforce on the Evo6 is about 14kgs but the S4(which doesnt have a rear spoiler) actually has an uplifting effect, so the big rear wing is actually quite useful for the Evo.
There is also a comparison done by a british mag between the Evo6, Impreza P1 and S4. The S4 is not even in the same league performance-wise. The only thing the S4 got going for it, is the interior and ride quality.

The Evo would win, wouldn't kill it though would be a good race, but then again an audi S4 is a great looking car and the interior refinements are much better than the Evo's, No disrespect to the Evo though
