Depends on the shop, really.

Last time I got a quote, it was $250 for the hood.

$250?
That's not too bad.
Pretty reasonable.
My only concern would be the difficulty on hitting up the scoops and vents properly.

ROAD/RACE
What's hot is that when a person does paint a FG version. The car will be quick to look like the RA model.

At just a glance, w/o the EVO Bumper insert and the dual exhaust tips. It could pass as a RA with the color matched FG hood.

ROCK, do you see any difficulty in painting your hood with all the vents and ducts?

No difficulty in painting it with vents etc... at all. That is all normal stuff for a painter.

are there any problems with water running into the engine compartment when it rains? I am probably gonna buy one in the next month or so.

No issues at all. THe vents are strategically place to not be over any sensitive area. Believe me, we would have liked to place them a little differently but the placement was dictated by what is under the hood and not necessarily the look from above.

Stock hood is very heavy. Our hood is 20+ lbs lighter than stock hood.
