Hey guys, thanks for seeing what's up...
As some of you know I had my motor out of my car and had new pistons put in and also had pretty much a whole new motor put in due to throwing a rod bearing....
....anyways, the motor is back in and things were looking good last night until we started the car and discovered only 2 pistons were firing, 1 & 4. Pistons 2 & 3 were dead, and it was discovered that the ECM is dead. We also figured out that the ECM died due to plugging in a crankshaft sensor plug into the coil pack and vise versa. For some of you that know they are the same exact looking plug in the same area of the wiring harness and the same exact length, something that can easily happen if not marked.
So now I need a new ECM. This is where I come to you guys, my question is, if there is any of you guys out there that would be able to ask people you know, or possibly check junk yards around your areas for a ECM out of a 2002-2003 Lancer OZ Rally Edition (5 speed), I would be in your debt forever! The dealership wants close to $900 for a new one, and after checking with Rob at Road Race, it's a part not very easy to find in the local SoCal junk yards.
So if anyone out there is willing to help me out I would greatly appreicate it! Thank guys

Damn Chris, this thread had to be on a Friday night huh ?? Guess you can't help it though. I'll check local junkyards around here for you but I can get a new one specific to your VIN for like $700 I think

yeah that is what I can get one at now too...$700 is the going price now. I would like to get it lower if possible, that's why I wanted to try junk yards to see if something would pop up!
