Headlight housing color question

hey,

ive got an '06 OZ and i realized last ngiht that my headlights are blacked out. I got the car brand new, so im wondering if this was a new thing they did for '06 or was my car in an accident and the dealer replaced them and didnt tell me otherwise...

should the headlights have a black housing?

Is it an used car? If so, the previous owner might have done it.

ive got only a few old pics that you can kind see the headlights...but ill take a close up tomorrow when its light out. The only reason i care about this (aside that it looks better than when its not blacked out) is because i wonder if it was in an accident?

Since I am an 06 owner, I'll fill you in. Yes the headlights are supposed to be like that, they make all the 06s like that, guess they found out people liked the black headlights better. And yes the grill is supposed to be like that, they changed the front end, removing the peice in the middle that normally held the mitsubishi logo. You have nothing to worry about, every 06 has those headlights.
