After owning a Valentine One (and upgrading it using their Continuous Improvement plan) for 8 years, I STRONGLY recommend this unit. It's very sensitive yet smart and will filter out weak/irrelevant signals from automatic doors.

The best feature is the directional indicator to let you know if you should be worried about something in front of you or behind you. Very handy. It's saved my butt countless times and easily pays for itself (tickets, insurance, etc.).

I also use the concealed display and mount it near the tach/mph dials for easy reference.

Save up those nickles and birthday money.

K well i got my radar today before i left for work so i put it on and went to work all cool and what ever. Went to lunch and where i work is near the mall and NO ONE EVER drives on this little road so i always gun it, today guess what a cop was hiding there and the 1788 caught it so i got saved from getting a ticket.

I have a BEL STi and it was expensive but like most are saying, you get what you pay for. I have a older BEL that was in your price range but it doesn't pick up nearly as much and is prone to a lot more interference. Try not to speed until you save up enough for a good one.
