Right, can't forget about the PB Blaster. I usually use WD-40 and never had any problems with that to get everything else apart. I might as well just stop at Advance Auto Parts instead, about 2 miles closer than Sears.

i didnt use PB blaster or freeze off. some people swear it will damage your o2 sensor. not sure if thats true or not but the mallet and socket worked perfect for me. it only took 10 secs to loosen.

Hell yeah! You can never go wrong with having a mallet. I read somewhere a little bit ago about NOT doing this and that to your o2 sensor.

Srsly, you can buy a mapp gas torch at your local hardware store for $10-$15. Makes stuff like this much easier to get off. Mapp gas + O2 socket + breaker bar = no problem.

Well I got what I need to hopefully get the job done today if I'm not too busy. Need to get rid of the CEL, it's very irritating spotting it out of the corner of my eye while driving.

Ok, I got the darn thing off and placed the CEL eliminator on. NO MORE CEL!...at least for now and I hope it stays that way. It really didn't take me long to remove the darn thing, roughly 20 minutes. It makes everything easier when you have the right tools for the job.
