Jdm style
Thats the thing. JDM is just that. the japanese domestic market. taking JDM parts off a cedia and putting them on your lancer is putting JDM parts on your car. Style is just style. If you like it clean, do it up clean. Theres a lot of wild stuff in japan. even more so then in the states so even crazy body kits and graphics is "jdm" by most peoples definition.
I think the simple reason of "wanting what you can't always have" attracts a lot to JDM. You simply don't see enough of it here. Everyone is used to seeing so much common stuff, that uncommon stuff becomes interesting.

So basically you are all talking about a clean look. The market in Japan consists of crazy looking stuff all the way down to clean, plain stuff. So what you should call it is clean, mild, stock, or plain looking, not JDM. There was a guy with a prelude at a car show I went to recently who had true JDM parts. I don't see the point because you pay out the *** just to say it's JDM. All the aftermarket parts he bought were actual Japanese parts. Even his lug nuts were and he payed like $200 for them. It's what he wanted for the shows, but I don't think it's worth it.
Jdm is pointless. lol. JDM is having insane crazy body kits and graphics. what us americans call JDM is really not jdm. just a clean look. Unless you are actually buying stock JDM car parts. You could buy OEM Cedia parts from www.japanparts.com and be considered jdm.

Personally, the only time it makes sense importing parts from Japan for your car is when you imported the car itself in from Japan.
I'm still unclear about "JDM." I don't see the point of adding JDM parts unless you think they look better. I don't get people going on a quest to have their car look JDM for the sake of JDM. I can understand replacing our stock parts with JDM parts because they are nicer, but not so someone can tell me "Dude your car is so JDM." Who says that?

All stupid if you ask me.
But I do love the Cedia lights and grill, and bumper.
