Jdm is pointless. lol. JDM is having insane crazy body kits and graphics. what us americans call JDM is really not jdm. just a clean look. Unless you are actually buying stock JDM car parts. You could buy OEM Cedia parts from www.japanparts.com and be considered jdm.

 

JDM IMHO is all about ...

1. Keeping the car clean (No stickers, No flames, No fake emblems)

2. No extreme body-kits....a nice front, rear lip will be perfect

3. Blacked out headlights may be considred as JDM but not the retrofit HIDs that u buy from ebay

4. Nice set of bright yellow fog lights

5. No window tint

6. Amber side markers

7. Rear/side window visors

8. EVO spoiler is not JDM....JDM is more of a wingless look

9. Nice rims...(No chromies)

10. Last but not least.... JDM IS ALL ABOUT BEING SLAMMED UP TO THE GROUND

Dont get the "jdm" green/yellow decal, it's beginner driver. which means they just learned how to drive.. mostly young girl student drivers have it lol

 

You know how you make your car JDM? You put a fart can on the back and a huge decal that takes up your entire rear window that says "I HEART JDM"

The sad thing is, I bring that up as a joke, but about a month ago I was driving and actually saw someone with that exact setup. I almost crashed into a bus because I had to do a triple take.

Yes, this is the only correct answer.

Saying "JDM means to me . . . " is like Bill Clinton saying asking for a definition of "is" during his impeachment hearings. It's horses**t. There's no "JDM means to me" anything. JDM means Japanese Domestic Market and nothing else.

 

When I was going to school in Japan, one of my teachers had a Honda Accord imported from the US. It had a f**king special emblem on it that said "MADE IN THE USA". He was so proud of that car.

 

My car was made, 100%, on the assembly line in Japan...so that makes my car 100% JDM! So what do I win?

You would win if it was JDB with the B being BUILT.

But with JDM the M means MARKET. We are not in the Japanese Domestic MARKET.
