All stupid if you ask me.

But I do love the Cedia lights and grill, and bumper.

hahaha exactly. I agree about the exterior stuff though. Some lancers in Asia get HIDs, projectors, ralliart seats, nice wheels, bumpers, etc. If they weren't so expensive I would spring for some.

With what I have said previously in this thread I figured it was pretty obvious it was sarcasm

The same reason some dorks pay twice as much to have Abercrombie and Fitch (or whatever the Hell is "hip" these days) and Rolex, etc. Because they want to feel like they're different and special.

Unique is overrated. My $12 cargos from Steve & Barry's are way comfier than the Gap pants I have. And the $15 shoes from the same store fit better than the $80 K-Swiss I bought. I'm noticing a trend here...

Just remember what Tyler Durden taught us.
- The things you own end up owning you.
- Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken.
- Self improvement is masturbation. Now self destruction...
- You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your f**king khakis. You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world.
- etc.

JDM... why not just buy the whole car? Want to be different? How about keeping the car stock? Then learn how to REALLY drive it. After that, make some upgrades...

It sucks that people want to classify everything. Do what you like and be happy with it. Different strokes for different folks.

Don't ask someone else if it looks cool. If its cool to you, then thats what matters.

To each of their own...I hate when people blame the whole JDM style idea just because they don't like it personally. If you want to be GDM (Ghetto Domestic Market) than be my guest.

Lol I'm sure people in Japan say the same thing about the whole JDM craze. God knows I don't understand it, if people want to be all out JDM I can kick them in the ***** for 10$ and make them look JDM in the pants.

I think most people prefer the JDM look of the cars. Thats why we try to mimic it. But to simply call a nice clean styled car "JDM" is rediculous.

a dude i knew in high school got the visors for the driver and passenger with the airbag warning in japanese for his civic. he would go around telling the "JDM heads" that his car was JDM on the inside, but all american on the outside. hilarious!

See I would totally agree with you in that respect...putting visor and warning sticker doesn't make u JDM. The whole car has to flow with the aftermarket parts.

If someone puts a Japanese sticker, visors, chromies and powered by "mitsu" sticker than I would also call them stupid and it wont be JDM at all.

and where can i purchase these JDM ***** and wll they fit on an 06 OZ with minimal modifications?

kidding...like most people have said on here, do what you like. personally i wouldn't put a front lip on my car without an intercooler lurking behind it, or a 40 foot wing on a FWD car, but if you like it, go for it...
