Taillight won't turn on. Got a new bulb

Is there a fuse that has to do with the rear passenger side tail light? About a month ago someone broke into my car and stole my stereo, and since, my taillight will not turn on. On the driver side taillight it does, but the other side won't. When I press the brake it lights up fine, but otherwise it won't turn on. I thought it might be the bulb, so I've replaced that twice but the light still won't turn on. Is there a fuse that I can replace, or is the problem deeper?

CN: Taillight won't turn on. Tried new bulb, still won't, but it's only on one side.

Bump for an answer.

I have the same problem on my sportback. Although my problem didn't arise as your's did. One day it just went out and stopped working but at least the brake light works. My guess is that it probably has to do something with the wiring harness that the bulbs connect to. Want to wait to find an answer before I take it to the stealership.

Hello, I had this problem when I put in my system in the trunk. I uninstalled my cd player, put the fuse in and tested to see that it worked. If it works, without the head unit installed, the problem is from the headunit to the trunk. I cut one wire on my headunit to the amp remote wire and everything worked after it. I blew 5 fuses before I found the problem was coming from the head unit. Check all the wires from the head unit and make sure that no wires are touching anything. What kind of cd player did they steal and was there anywires that got messed up. Oh, the fuse you are looking for is under the hood. Its one of the light fuses and should be a ten amp. there should be four 10 amp fuses in a square shape, and the one you should check would be the one in the right side lower corner. I hope these helps.
