Magnaflow high-flow cat + Megan racing exhaust - how loud !?

Im about ready to install those two things on my 04 lancer

- Magnaflow high flow cat
- Megan racing exhaust

The exhaust does not have the fart can pitch to it and it sounds pretty nice, but what I am worried about is the high flow cat....is it considerably louder than stock cat? Does anyone have any idea or a reference of some sort ?...

Any comments are gonna be appreciated !

A high flow cat will be louder than stock since it flows better. How do you know what the exhaust sounds like if you haven't installed it yet? I'm guessing you're basing that on clips you've heard online which personally I'd take with a grain of salt.

i have some guy that lives in my neighborhood with the exact same exhaust on his ralliart and it sounds very nice.....

i realize that a high flow cat will un-restrict the airflow a bit which is good, but im just worried about my car being much louder, which I think is understandable

Don't forget the ralliart has a completely different motor so what sounds good on it might not sound good on the smaller lancer motor. Unrestricting the airflow isn't always a good thing, sometimes a bit of pressure is a good thing.

the Magnaflow HFC I think is a good mod. I have it on my car. Still have plenty of backpressure, but with improved top end. The magnaflow cat will be just as quiet if not SLIGHTLY quieter than the stock catalytic converter. If you have or will be getting headers I would go with the A. quietest muffler possible and B. the biggest resonator possible. The headers will make any catback sound worse IMO.
