<$8 mod must have!!! DIY mesh grille...

Lowe's receipt...basically small baggie of black mini zip strips (4") and black mesh gutter guard (20' x 6"). Don't mind the $10 cash-back for stamps!

Helps that I have an Accolade aftermarket bumper with those metal hook things to hold it all in place! If you want it too look good, make sure to double-up on the mesh (2 layers).

...and a little engine bay cleaning before NOPI! Notice the OE battery @ 83k miles w/ a 1800w system. Could it be the voltage stabilizer?

Mine didnt from accolade either. ha.

How does it look from up close? With two layers of mesh I would think it might look thrown together. I couldnt find any good looking mesh so I bought APC mesh at a advanced auto and painted it black. Mesh was like $18 or so. It looks good with mesh. No mesh is horrible.

That APC stuff is the exact same as the gutter guard. I know cause I have had both on my old grill.

from what A few friends told me. the gutter stuff isnt as "smooth". So after you paint it... it looks like crap. Just what I heard.

You can only tell that there's two layer if up close...and because of the wonder placement of the metal hook things, no zip ties are visible. Very clean and well worth the hr and $8 !

Either the body shop tossed the mesh or I didn't get any??? I wonder why these tiny metal hooks aren't located around the hole in the Ken SS? I would have put some on there as well!

That thing's going to die any day. But an Optima now and be safe.

Honestly, I think they're over rated! $140 for a battery? I don't care if it'll last 20yrs...I won't have the car that long. Seeing a normal battery is about $50/60 that last 5/6 yrs will be good enough for me.

And I've never experienced any starting issues done to the battery. Starts up as quick as it did yr 1. I did have that CPS gremlin that caused the car not to start, but that's been fixed/cleaned.

^PM'd! It'll be a good time!
