Changing Licence Plate Bulbs

Hi guys,

I have a very quick question to ask... how do I change the light bulbs for rear the license plate? FYI, I have a 2003 Lancer.

I couldn't find anything using the search function.

Thanks a lot,
Don

The light socket just twists out of the back of the housing. Just upgraded the stocker to xexon hyper white one, so I definitely know this one.

I see there are 2 screws holding the each housing/assembly, and each assembly is held by 2 bolts/screws attached to the bumper.

I first attemped in removing the screws, but they were very hard to unscrew. So I've tried to remove the assembly/housing, but there was too little space for me to do so.

Have you ever had this problem?

I've got an aftermarket bumper and everything is rigged differently. Yeah, don't mess with the screws! Just access the rear of the housings and twist.

Good luck!

What do you suggest to use to access the rear of the housings?

Been too long since I've the stock bumper on there...not sure. It'll take some work getting to it I think, but good luck!
