$900 does nothing for any car performance or looks wise. now if u had $9000 this would be a different conversation, like trade in you're car & buy an EVO or something 1000 times nicer (and faster) like a 2008 Mercedes C63 AMG. better yet, invest in Google. they are worth about 182 Billion right now.

maybe u should invest the cash into fuel companies since i have been tracking fuel prices going up about $0.40 a year. if they stay on their projected path, gas will be $2/gallon HIGHER than it is now by 2012 & $4/gallon higher than now by 2016. if u have fuel stocks, that's means BIG profit for you so u don't have to be stuck driving a Lancer & u can get out & see the world at everybody else's expense...

Unless you plan on racing the car, coilovers are a waste of money. I had coilovers and if I was going to do it again, I wouldn't bother. They were incredibly fun on smooth, fresh asphalt but as soon as the road got rough, they were a nightmare. The car bounced off the bumps and at times it felt like my spine was going to pop out. I would strongly suggest you figure out what you want out of the car before you buy anything. If you just want a nice looking street car, consider rims, spoilers, seats (I absolutely adored my evo seats and wish I had them in my WRX), etc. If you want a fast car, save up for a turbo kit or a new car.

 

NO engine mods! If you must spend it go sound, tint and whatever else otherwise save it.

 

evo VIII seats and some nice sound. I nice flip out head unit with touchscreen ipod interface would make the lancer much more bearable.

i'd say u'll be better off spending it on looks like tints, rims, sound etc. i mean if u really want power then u could save up for a turbo but thats like close to $4000 (idk how much cheaper if u custom make one). now if it doesn't take u long to save up that much then go for the turbo but if its gonna be a while i'd say spend the money on looks cus i personally can't go a long while before doing something new to my car. and plus u'll feel good about your car looking better.

 

Hmm i thought looks was the way to go back when i was in high school...now i have a beat up body kit. Its harder then you think to maintain. If i could start over again, i would have never got a body kit and a repaint. I would have the stage 1 turbo right now. But we all make mistakes.

No no no i have money invested this money is actually for my car which i`ve been saving for almost 2 years now and i feel i need to make a change into my car i read up on getting turbo i just don`t have that kind of cash and going to an evo once again don`t have that kind of cash. Anyways sly made an excellent suggestion with getting a Greddy evo 2 and headers which i think i might go into.

I do have a question someone told me that the 03 lancers have projector headlights is this true if so who has them ? i have searched but found nothing.
