I was reading an issue of autoweek, and it says that mitsu is going t be offering a turbo lance that's not en evo, and will also be offering a diesel in the lancer.
Anyone know where I can find info on these cars??

 

most likely elsewhere if they do, like the UK i doubt they would do that, it would upset alot of EVO people out there, and hurting your market base is not a good move.

And it would also hurt the apeal of buying a EVO X. would make no sense at all.

Now a Diesel would be cool

 

the UK is most likely to receive a diesel version from past models, but thats just a guess. Since the Lancer is already offered in an awd version in japan, my guess is thats where they will have more options and models, like always.

 

I figured they were going to have something to compete with the WRX. I don't know if the new turbo lancer is going ot be FWD or AWD. probably only FWD. And Mitsu has needed something to bring up their fuel economy average, and here it is.

isn't there a ralliart with turbo in the making? but idk about the diesel engine option. i'm sure they won't have that here

 

Didn't someone say a mitsu rep said they'd be offering the new evo turbo for the base lancer on factory warranty?

 

Mitsu reps also told me we'd get the evo 8, but that didn't pan out. At the moment all we have are rumors and "a friend of a friend of a friend said" stories.
