hey i remember reading around 6 months to a year ago about the rage in how every lancer owner wanted to swap a 4g63 into their car. and how cost extensive it was. but i remember one guy from the uk saying over there they offer a cheaper version where u could upgrade the lancers brakes, engine, and eventually make it awd. the only thing it would lack is the wider dimesions of the evo, as well as diff lights. ive tried looking everywhere on here for "awd uk lancer" to "mitsu uk offers awd lancer" even to "4g63 uk lancer" and so on and so forth. since ive spent almost an hour searching, can anyone help me find what exact thread of post which confirms the poster of this phrase and where it can be located? if so please reply and thanks for your help.

one friend of mine (b/c im still in hs) believes after watching tokyo drift that he can do a rb swap into a 240, fabricate the attesa smart awd system, and all that for 10k. im trying to tell him other than having an unlimited supply of $ and a large amount of patience, that its not worth being done. then i remember an exception to the rule with the uk lancer-evo.

im pretty sure it wasnt the phillipines, but i remember one guy that said yeah in uk they had it, even had pics to show. maybe it was photoshopped but it sounds oddly authentic. oh well. whatever i guess now.

 

There is a 4G63 lancer on sale in the UK but it aint AWD, there is one in Japan and other countries around there tho.

We also have the ralliart factory over here that converts Evo's to any power up to 500bhp, along with making evo versions of other cars like the Colt, and they have also taken a 4G63 lancer and made their own show car from it with the evo turbo and AWD systems. I dont think theres anything on the net about it, I saw that in a magazine last year.

 

wait, diavlo u were the one that mentioned it before right? cuz i remember someone said something abt modding and they retained the lights, and body dimensions or something.
