i dont know why you gys are complaining about not getting the 2.4 L. notice 4B11 and 4B11T?? which means alot of parts that will fit the 2L EVO engine will fit ours. OR i guess you guys can have your 2.4 and be stuck with 24 Parts like the old RA guys

and you forget to mention the EVO also has a 4B11 so some of the parts will fit our engines. I dont know why you guys are complaining about not getting a 2.4L who the hell is gonna make parts for the 2.4 it will be like the ralliart now super hurting.

one regular pump gas, how much do you think you can get NA??? it's quite obvious they were aiming for tq figures over hp. for reference the SE-R makes 177 hp and 172 ft lbs on regular unleaded but it also has a 0.1 L advantage and nissan aims high on all their cars.

the new GTS should be more than competitive if it stays super cheap (under 22-23k loaded)

well the new RA is supposedly using the 2.4 albeit with a turbo. also, the head should be similar across the board (i haven't read anything to suggest otherwise) so there shouldn't be much difference, if any, for bolt ons and simple parts.

its the fact that we got shafted b/c mitsu after half a year they are deciding to put out a bigger engine... and also why the hell would i want to spend more money than i already have to make the same hp when i could've just gotten it in the first place??? it just doesn't make sense..

i didn't say we would be able to.. im just saying i'd rather have a engine with more hp without tinkering around and still keeping my warranty... i dunno its just the fact that little under a year mitsu changes **** on the consumers....it really is like the apple scenario.. where mitsu finally realized 152 wasn't enough hp so they made a more tourqier(sp) car with a little more hp albeit... its the principle...

Yeah, I agree that it sucks. But I don't really want to trade my 2008 in for a 2009. My car payments are high enough without having to tack on some negative equity from a car that's rapidly depreciated.

We play the hand we're dealt . . .

What engine is it before we judge. I would almost rather have the 4b11. Don't judge it because it has 10 more hp.

WHo cares.

The 4B12 will definitely liven things up, but that's no reason to dismiss the 4B11. Sharing the "same" block with the upcoming Evolution should provide a nice turbocharged option as well.

If you really want the 2.4L in your current Lancer, we've got one here at the shop
