08 Lancer GTS w/ Video Input?

Hey everyone,

I started this convo in the Evo X forums but I figured I'd bring it over here too because I was curious if I was a first for something.

Anyways, the discussion was about people asking what the "Video" panel in front of the shifter under the center console was. And noticing that people were confused about it, I found it odd because my Lancer GTS that i purchased Saturday has it too. I haven't played with it yet because I don't have an iPod/iPhone to composite connector, but I had just assumed it was standard and I missed it in the specs.

but seeing as people were surprised to see it on the EvoX, is this something new to the lancers? Did I get an updated model and not know it? Does anyone else have it? Let me know, I'm pretty curious, cause I mean if I got an updated package, sweet!

(fyi I had the navi and tech package, so idk if it only comes when you have the MMCS or not)

Yea, I have the same thing. Its actually the input for your AUX tab on the Navi unit. It will display what you plug into that through the Navi screen. I tried it with a PS2 just to see, cool feature.

Did the PS2 work on it? If it did, how would you go about powering it in the future?

You can buy a car adapter power cable for PS2 ( http://video-games.pricegrabber.com/...ies/m/9370157/ ) but from what I heard it only works with the slim version of PS2 which requires less power than original PS2.

Does the video cut out when you start rollling or put it in drive like the DVD function?
