Question evo 7

Need some info.-

I'm definately getting the 7 next year some time, but I actually would love the j-spec 7. I've already got a contact to get me one. So what I want to know is: what mods/conversions would I have to do to the car to make it (semi.) street legal? I know the saftey glass is a big one, but would emissions matter that much?

Have you talked to Evolution Imports about this ?
Who are you getting the car from? Who will legalize the car for you?

E.I. can do all this for you, call them up, their ad banner is everywhere on this site.

I guess you have money to blow for no reason, heh? Why would you spend 37-40k on a j-spec Evo NEXT year when the US Evo will be here and may have only slightly less horsepower...
We may not even get the VII we may get the Evo VIII that is due out next year with 6-speed, etc. All for less than 30k. It's not like you can't do a simple mod or two with VERY little money to raise the horsepower to MORE than the j-spec has. Go ahead and waste $10,000 for no reason...think about it

Not 100% sure, talk to E.I. about it, but I assume it is somewhere b/w $36.5K and $38K I think.

I guess I am mainly concerned in having the right hand drive. EI makes their's left.

First, RHD is legal, it's not like you're breaking to law or something. And EI didn't "make" their EVO LHD, they import LHD EVOs.

The mod/conversion to make a JDM car street legal is mostly the safety issue. 5mph bumper, side door beams, crash test, smog...etc.
