My wifes car can beat a 5spd 08 GTS. I was driving too.....there was a girl driving the GTS but even so. My wifes car is a 02 ES auto.....smoked her bad too. I still like the styling of the GTS but it can't hang with RA....they should of made a RA version.....I guess they might be coming out with one soon though...can't wait..

Current numbers suggest otherwise, a stock 2008 manual tranny ES will beat a stock 2002 ES to 0-60 by about a second, and since a 2008 ES with manual tranny can do 0-60 in about 7.7sec it can also hang with 2004 Ralliart as that car with manual does 0-60 in about 7.5-7.6 sec. So it would be pretty close and no one would blow anyone away.

2005 Manual OZ - modded with intake and full exhaust
2008 CVT GTS - just an SRI
OZ wins off the line, but the GTS catches up and blows it away because of the better topend.

The mods on the 2005 OZ gave it a horrible lowend but lots of topend HP. So, stock vs. stock, the OZ would still win off the line but the 2008 would catch up and pass it even faster.

 

The girl couldn't drive. I could beat a Ferrari if you put a 16 year old girl in the driver's seat.

 

anyone in kentucky that has an 08 want to race at a track this spring?
