I was wondering what is quicker or would win in a drag race the 4g94 Lancer's or the new 08 Lancers? Non Evo's of course.

 

Well, as far as I remember 2002 Lancer ES with manual tranny did 0-60 in about 8.8 seconds. The new 2008 Lancer ES with manual tranny can do 0-60 in about 7.7 seconds so I would say 2008 Lancer Actually the current 2008 Lancers with manual tranny can more than hold its own against last generation Lancer Ralliarts.

 

08 would STOMP the 02.

 

Do you think yours could beat a 08 stock? cus you have alot of mods on yours

 

I honestly doubt it. Maybe I wouldn't be too far behind but honestly who knows. Auto vs. Auto I think i would have a good chance.

With all of that I would think you should beat out a stock 08 auto or manual. have you ever ran your car on a dyno? That would suck to have spent all of that $$$ on a car that couldn't beat out a 156hp one.

 

Ya, I could take an auto 08 but even with all of those mods I just don't have the low end torque to take a manual 08. Most of the mods I have are midrange to top end and with a non torquey car paired to an auuto transmission I just can't get off the line.

 

4B11 would kill even a modded 4G94 (sorry iufan4lifeul). Considering how well the 4G94 responds to bolt-ons, I doubt a full second could be shaved from the 0-60 time.

 

lets hope the 4b11 responds well to mods

RRM is working on the turbo kits for the 2008s.
