I'm about to purchase my lancer soon, the question I'm dealing with right now is if i want to get a sunroof or not. the dealership in the area is down to about 6 or so OZ's left in stock, and I know that they have at least one white one with a sunroof. it's on the floor. If I decide to take this car autcrossing, the sunroof could be a bad idea since it adds weight to the top of the car, but if all I do is drive it around daily (although I drive way too fast and too hard when given the chance), then the sunroof option doesn't sound too bad. How do you all enjoy your sunroofs, for those who have them, or have those who didn't get one wished that they had?

wish i had one too. i was so pissed when i found out that was an option on 03 lancers. then again, i had probably one of the first hundered ozs in the country.

 

i have an 02 with a sunroof aftermarket ....auto x doesnt really do anything 2 handling if you have a sun roof its like 30lbs max on top

 

i love my sunroof...wouldnt drive the car without it. Makes my sis wish she had waited a year to buy the 03 oz instead of the 02 she bought last year..take it from her and buy the one with the sunroof.

hmm i have a sunroof but never use it. But damnit I had to have it. I love that thing. Maybe i might even use it one day

 

i will. i'm llike the guy in the VW commercial that licks the car so the dealer won't sell it to another couple. The one i'm looking at getting is a white 5 speed. now i just need a loan

 

my mom's gran prix has a power sun roof, and i love it. much better than my old eclipse's manual roof

 

i have an auto so i play w/ the sunroof all the time in my lancer since i have nothing to do w/ my other hand. it's an aftermarket one and i've been meaning to ask .. does the sunroof from the factory close when you take the key out of the ignition? i'm just wondering btw good choice on getting the sunroof .. i'm sure you'll have fun w/ it.

 

no the one from the factory doen't close when you take the key out. would be nice if it did though.

 

I couldn't find a yellow OZ 5-spd with a sunroof when i went car shopping....
only auto..
