Passing smog with turbo kit

Anyone here pass smog with a turbo kit. I am running a RRM intercooled turbo with high flow cat, rrm header and full turbo back.

i am sure it would pass...never had or tried, but all the emission parts on the vehicle are still functional? Never had a boosted car so I wouldn't know...the egr valve might be affected due to have boost on the intake, not vacuum. But I don't know boosted cars only diesels.

I don't think the RRM turbo ever got CARB exemption and from what I remember, whether it passed emissions was really hit or miss.

I have the rrm header, with a high flow cat, so the pre cat is gone, is this an issue?

It might be, like I said, I can't be sure whether it'll pass or not, you might have to wing it.

Do they just plug into your OBD-II in CA? Also, do they pop the hood and look under the car as part of the inspection? If they do, you might have a problem if they notice one of your cats missing.

i'm not even FI and i'm scared to get my car to cali. from what i've heard, you need to give them documentation to certain things like your exhaust, cat converter, header, MSD, spark plug wires. cops down there thinks they are race car drivers. by the time they hear your muffler, they would look under your car to see if you have a test pipe or not. and they have those annoying questions like: are those things you put in CARB certified? they even check for noise levels. that's why aftermarket manufacturers have documentations saying if their products are CARB and OBDII certified.

o and if somebody actually experienced this since i'm not from cali, correct me if i'm wrong >.>;

as for exhaust cvc27151-176 says you can have an exhaust and it cannot fail you on emissions for it the turbo may be and issue as it has no carb number no carb # no go they do a visual inspection under the hood as for the header according to rock at rrm if you have the high flow cat or any cat you should pass smog just place the header cover over it as it does not have a carb number. Yes Cali sucks but if you have the right stuff you will be fine

In Cali, they do under hood parts inspection, and depending on where you live you'll get a Dyno exhaust sniff @ 25MPH and 35MPH. However, like yellance said, if you do it right you'll pass without issue.

What if the car you bought had a 50-state legal exhuast, but came with no papers? Would you be able to contact the manufacturer for it or no? Would it be an issue since you weren't the one to legally 'purchase' the exhaust? (like in the case of warranties)

Sorry for the "hypothetical- you try it and tell us" kind of question. Just wondering if anybody knew.

No, if you buy a car that doesn't pass emissions, it's your fault.
