ATTN Vendors: 08 AMBER Side Markers ???

this: sucks!

so i was just wondering, is anyone looking into making a full replacement Amber Side Marker/Signal for the 2008+ Lancers / Evolutions / RalliArts ?

transparent paint/vinyl does not look that good, and the oem side markers are stupid because they do not allow you to change the bulb without putting them in the oven…
so, if a vender made a full replacement all amber side marker with the capability of changing the inner wedge bulb with ease, i truly believe a lot of 08+ lancer owners would be interested, especially because it is not a high cost item.
also, not only will they give that ‘jdm’ look, but the ability to change the bulb with ease is very practical and makes sense!

common, someone has to be interested in producing these…please? lol

***i decided to add a poll – fellow 2008 Lancer owners, would you be interested in purchasing all amber side markers for your car? I figure if we get a good amount of people saying yes, it might give some incentive to a vender to look into making them.

cheers

Sidemarkers? Those look like your side turn signal's to me...

Sidemarkers are the one beside your lowbeams.

You seriously can't change that bulb? Unless it's an LED I have a hard time believing that Mitsu would design it with a permanent bulb, since I can't see a housing manufacturer building it that way.

it is a sealed unit, no one I guess has tried baking it. For fear or ruining it and well, yeah kinda stupid to have to buy the whole assembly when a little bulb burns out.

i know of two people who opened theirs up on a different forum…i’m not 100% sure but i believe its just a normal 194 bulb with a orange cap overtop of it – they both replaced the oem bulb with an LED – and they both said it wasn’t crazy hard to open up, but at the same time it wasn’t easy because after putting it in the oven for a bit, it felt like it was going to break several times...after they swapped the bulb they resealed it and reinstalled it.
(even the guys who replaced the bulb said they would be interested in an all amber one though )
