2008 GTS DVD Nav
2008 GTS DVD Nav
Hi. i was wondering if anybody knows where i can get the 30 gig dvd/nav system for the lancer. since im in canada i dont get to have one from the dealer. do you guys know if there is anyone that sells it?or can i buy it from a us dealer and have it shipped?
Check out the Mitsu Canada Website. In the Lancer Accessories, they now have navigation on there. Whether the dealership has it or not is another question.
Navigation Install Kit, 715.78
Navigation Unit, 3063.54
Navigation Map Update 157.27
I dont know which all you would need, 3936.59 plus tax. seems really pricy for my books.

I second that idea. And if you want to try to save a bit of money on top of that, the metra kit should allow you to stack two single din units... try to find a dvd/screen system and a seperate nav. Kinda like Pioneer originally was. You could save a bit. But, some of the newer double din units that have nav in them are fairly inexpensive too.
Either way, don't give the dealer ship another 4000... that's enough to build a fairly nice system.

Keep your eyes peeled and you may be able to scoop one up... just maybe not for your target price as they are about $4k retail from Mitsu direct.
He lives in Canada, it's not available factory installed in his market. I believe I saw one for 2k or less in the selling area a while back but it sold. I prefer the GTS nav to the avic since it has the 30GB HDD which none of the navs really have plus it can control so many things in the vehicle.

I knew that he's from Canada and my point still stands.

Doh, I glanced right past them.
Most of those you do on the steering wheel, which makes it closer and much easier to do while driving. I'm still not seeing why he should buy the OEM Navi.

I'm sure you could also do that stuff a different way. Anybody gotten that deep into the owners manual yet?
OEM is fine, if you want to pay to much for stuff you will rarely use.
Aftermarket is cheaper, and offers more personal options. You can get exactly what you want, and less of what you don't.
And, like has already been said... 4K for an OEM nav system? Give me a break. That would buy alot of after market goodies... DVD/nav in dash, screens for rear, new amp and speakers, and maybe even a PS3 or XBox360.
