yea, thats kind my plan, i wanted the 09s right when they came out so it wasnt a big deal that the extra package wasnt available yet. I don't really need traction control, i dont drive like a mad man in ****ty weather so its not a big deal. Rain sensing wipers would be cool to tell people you have but honestly its a total luxury and I the wipers work fine already.

The only thing I really would like are xenon HIDs, so maybe I'll look into getting those once the headlight assemblies either factor or aftermarket are available.

My preference for the 2009 GTS was strickly for the 2.4L engine rather than the 08 2.0L engine. Rain sensing wipers, I agree, are purely for luxury. Traction control is a good thing. HIDs are hot, but fall under novelties. The main upgrades I want would include minor stage one performance mods such as a CAI and exhaust and a CF hood.

yea. totally agree with you darkknight. i only wanted the 09 for the 2.4 liter engine. and i'm probably gonna do SRI and possibly an exhaust. i'm still deciding on the springs and bars though. i don't know if it is worth the extra money over the stock GTS ones since i don't know how either one feels yet. CF costs too much, i'll probably stick with the fiberglass hoods

Yeah, CF is expensive. I would get it only if it is significantly lighter than the stock hood, then it makes practical sense. I also need to investigate vent location and possible rusting that might occur in the engine (then wgt would be irrelevant and this item wouldn't be worth it). As an aside, I've had vented hoods on the evo 8 and a 4g eclipse - on the former rust was an issue but not the latter.

As this is related to the topic (performance on a 2009 GTS), I will put the following question out here as well:

Does anyone know what the ramifications on the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) are for placing aftermarket wheels on the 2009 GTS? Would the TPMS work fine if the rim size is the same and the stock dunlop tires are kept on?

09 GTS with nav?
i'd pay around 19.5 to 20 for an auto
for manual, it is a thousand less.

the package, depending on dealer, is around 1750 to 2000 bucks.
so auto, marked price is around 21 or so. so about 1500 bucks off seems to be the average of what you can bargain down if the dealer isn't starving for a buy.

In the NY "stealerships" (I like that term you used! LOL!), they run about 22-23k fully loaded sound package, navigation, et cetera.
