yea i mean just print out the invoice pricing for everything and start negotiating from that. tell them you are ready to buy that day if the price is right "500$ over invoice and you have my business right now, i'll drive the car away today and make it easy for you" they might just say OK

from the marked price, try to get down about 1500 so you are basically going to end up with the same marked price, but after tax and tags.

Other factors on price include:

1) If you are paying cash, you can definitely get that price lowered.

2) If you are trading in and lets say the cost of the new ride is 23k and the trade in value is 19k, then mitsu can only tax you on 4k!!!! So, you save on taxes!

Was this recent? Currently, they are offering 4.9% @ 60 months special through mitsubishi. What is GAP? 100k Mile Bumper to Bumper?

If you are paying cash up front, then they have to lower the price. If not, walk away - they are likely to chase after you and bargain.

Yes it was recent the rate mitsu was offering for 72 mos was 5.9%.

GAP pays the difference between the value of the vehicle and what is owed in the event of a total loss, it also pays the deductible in the event of a total loss.

Yes the extended warranty, the standard bumper to bumper is 5 yr 60k mile.

well, that's a touch question to objectively answer without personally trying all of them out.

If you enjoy reading up on these sorts of things, then you may want to check out Consumer Reports under their"most reliable" catagory, although how they define reliable is unclear to me. It might be because I didn't want to subscribe for $5.95 just to find out. However, if you are really interested with what they had to say, it's $5.95 for a month subscription.

yea i have it, but since the 09 lancer is new, they don't really have any report on it. maybe comparing it to other cars is too much, but i jsut want your opinions on the reliabilty of the car since all of you have it.

It's too early to tell, because this is an all new model, and the '09 has an even newer engine.

I picked up my 09 GTS w/ S&S 2 1/2 weeks ago. I traded in an '01 Lincoln LS for it. Get the dealer to work with you as much as possible, here's my story.

I payed 21.5 for it. The base price, after S&S and our dealerships 'First Place Finish' warrantied cleaning kit was 22.5 - I owed 7700k on my Lincoln and they would only give me 47 for it. The dealership matched me dollar for dollar on a down payment, so I dropped 2k as a down, got 4k total. They gave me the $500 military rebate as well as a $500 dollar first buyer rebate since I was gonna be the first guy in the area to pick up the 09 GTS. So, at 17,5 they added in the negative Equity from my Lincoln and brought me up to what I payed for. Financed through Marine Federal Credit Union at 72mo with a 5.4% interest rate. Not too shabby, took on Gap insurance and their 'Walmart' protection policy which is where they'll repair any ding/dent/scrape/gouge in the paint & body for 5 years. Of course, if you take a bat to the car, your still screwed. Im paying 360 a month.

Bad deal? I think not, considering I'm only 22.
