Paint Repair (Primer exposed)
Hey guys where do you recommend going for a paint repair up job?
Its the size of a loonie, on my drivers side door. Must've been a rock or someone else's door, cause there's a slight dent in the bodywork. But thats not a big concern.
More concerning is the loonie-sized section, where the paint has been stripped off, leaving the primer completely visible!

Not sure what the size of a "loonie" is.........but here in the states we have a place called "Dent Wizard" and they specialize in small dent/ding repairs. Pretty affordable, and if you don't have the money, you can go through your insurance company.
Thats a pretty big paint chip !
Try filling it with basecoat paint in the primer area until it is leveled with the rest of the paint, then wetsand the blob of paint until it is levelled with the rest of the OEM paint. Finally lightly spray paint the patched area and wait 2-3 days for it to dry and then use a polish to blend it out.

Thanks. Yeah sorry I should've been more specific. Its the size of a dollar coin. I'm convinced its not from a rock, but rather someone elses door. Cause its right along that edge of our doors, that protude out the most. And its on the drivers side rear door.
So my feeling is that when I was at the store yesterday, I parked with 2 empty slots to my left. Someone parked next to me, facing the opposite direction. And when this moron opened his door, he dinged my drivers side rear door. He probably noticed the huge portion of paint he stripped off my door, as well as the dent and drove onto another slot. I was only in the store 10 mins.
****ing morons
How do you park so close to another car, but yet open the door so violently that you dent the other car and strip the paint right down to the primer!?!
I'm thinking of trying these guys out, as they seem to specialize in this area. I just hope they can patch the spot properly, without leaving a pockmark that i'll have to live with forever - http://www.mingshine.com/onehourrepair.htm

Hey Karan,
I've got a buddy who works at a bodyshop out in Sherwood Park. He's always willing to do little side jobs for friends, and he's pretty damn good. I can put you in touch with him if you want.
